Why New FBI Director Christopher Wray is Perfect for Draining the Swamp

Trump has nominated Christopher Wray as the new FBI director, a former Department of Justice official. Many still don't understand why former FBI Director Comey should have recommended a Grand Jury trial of Hillary Clinton, as related to her gross negligence with classified email. And how Comey failed in his assessment of Clinton's crimes. But this is a new chapter, and hopefully we will see more actual justice overall in the Justice Department than we did with eight years under Barack Obama's rule.

I was happy to learn that Christopher Wray presided over the Enron investigation and the sentencing of Kenneth Lay, the Enron business executive who was convicted of fraud, and who cost 20,000 Enron employees their jobs. The FBI says the Enron probe was the "largest and most complex white-collar investigation" in the agency's history. And this seems to be exactly what we need today, someone interested and specialized in white-collar crimes. This is what THE SWAMP consists of, white collar criminals. Here is an apt quote from the Enron case:

"Kenneth Lay is charged with abusing his powerful position as chairman of the board and CEO and repeatedly lying in an effort to cover up the financial collapse that caused devastating harm to millions of Americans." — Christopher Wray

The FBI's official mandate is established in Title 28 of the United States Code (U.S. Code), Section 533, which authorizes the Attorney General to,

"appoint officials to detect and prosecute crimes against the United States."

Other federal statutes give the FBI the authority and responsibility to investigate specific crimes. James Comey failed in this mandate. He failed to properly investigate Hillary Clinton. There are many signs that Comey was simply a pawn originally set in place to help protect the Clinton family, a "fixer" of legal problems. However, it seems that there is a possibility now that we may see the swamp of corruption left by Secretary Clinton and the Obama Administration drained out.

A central aspect of good government is the need for justice. In contrast to leading with justice, some leaders are known for being led by lobbyist influence and bribery. The best standard is found in quotes of scripture:

"By justice a king builds up the land, but he who exacts gifts tears it down." (Proverbs 29:4)

There is only room for improvement. Obama's legacy is extremely poor when it comes to crony politics, kickbacks and the like:

"Another series of abuses that helped put the president himself on the widely respected corruption list was the use of unconstitutional and mostly unaccountable “czars” — many of whom were lawlessly put in charge of major government policies and programs. There are now 45 such figures in Washington, and more than a few have been linked to “scandals, thefts and kickbacks, flagrant and offensive statements, conflicts of interest, and radical leftist political ideologies and policies,” according to Judicial Watch, which has been monitoring “czar” developments for years. Obama’s “Green Jobs Czar” Van Jones was even a self-styled communist."

May Christopher Wray become as bold as a lion when it comes to investigating corruption. It's time to drain the swamp!:

"The wicked flee though no one pursues, but the righteous are as bold as a lion." (Proverbs 28:1)
